This tusli (holy basil) japa mala is 108 beads including a guru bead for use in nada (sound yoga) or mantra chanting.
Mantra means to free the mind and is a wonderful addition to enhance meditation practice to experience the flow state.
Malas come in many different materials. Tusli is revered as it represents devotion, purity and spiritual growth and is believed to be a potent protector and dispel negative energy. These malas have been coated in tumeric which is associated with femininity.
Care instructions: The tumeric may transfer int he first few uses and can be washed off if problematic. Traditionally malas made of wood or seed can be soaked in ghee and butter and then towel dried and left to dry in the shade to enhance their lifespan.
